How to catch fleas with detergent

Fleas often attack homes with pets, and many commercial flea sprays, powders, and treatments contain chemicals. These chemicals can get rid of fleas, but you also subject their home, family, and pets to chemicals. Instead, use a do-it-yourself routine flea removal incorporating soap. The soap effectively gets rid of fleas without using any harmful chemicals.

Things You Need

  • Bowls and pizza pans
  • Water
  • Dish soap
  • Lamps
  • Will
  • Vacuum Cleaner
  1. Fill up a few glasses or pizza pans with about 1/2 tsp. each detergent liquid and filling the containers halfway with water. Stir to dissolve the detergent.
  2. Put these containers around your floor, whether in nightlights or under a lamp.
  3. Sprinkle salt a salt shaker around your floor, and let stand in place overnight. The salt will dehydrate the fleas, and at the same time looking for an escape from fleas usually jump to the dish soap. The Smothers and soapy water kill fleas instantly.
  4. Discard the soapy water the next day and vacuum the floor thoroughly. Use a vacuum cleaner with a disposable bag, because it will collect and hold the fleas and salt you sprinkled the ground.
