A smelly bathroom sink drain is a common problem, as odor, waste, and bacteria accumulate regularly in the drain. Avoid expensive cleaning products and chemically-based drainage sold in supermarkets and home improvement stores- they are often ineffective and use chemicals that you do not want in your home or family.

  • Sodium bicarbonate
  • White vinegar
  • Boiling water
  1. Pour & frac12- sodium bicarbonate glass in the drain opening.
  2. Pour & frac12- cup white vinegar down the drain. The vinegar and disinfecting foams when mixed with the baking soda to work through the pipes and clean the walls. Let foam work for about 30 minutes.
  3. Pour boiling water 1-gallon drain to flush out the remaining residue.
  4. Repeat every one to two weeks to avoid the odor returning.
